Rescue drill by Gentle Giants

Today a rescue drill was held by the staff onboard Faldur, where the staff simulated and responded to possible emergency situations at sea.

Gentle Giants crew sailed out to Skjalfandi Bay where one of the crew member threw himself out into the sea and the instructions of captain Einar were put into practise. The rescue was successful and repeated for each and everyone so that they will be prepared to react properly and precisely in any emergency situation.

Though Gentle Giants staff is fully licensed, it is always necessary to go over safety and refresh procedures on a frequent basis to maintain maximum safety onboard for our passengers and in terms of being fully licensed by the Icelandic Maritime Administration.
