FIRST TOUR OF THE SEASON ... A HUMPBACK FESTIVAL!

This morning Gentle Giants’s boat FALDUR sailed out to Skjálfandi Bay for the first time this season in the search of whales, with a large group from Germany. Weather conditions were excellent – bright sunshine and very light winds.

Skjálfandi Bay was full of life - all in all 4 humpbacks were seen, which came very close to the boat. A group of white-beaked dolphins were also seen, along with a lot of birds.

The German group was very happy when arriving to Husavik harbour, after a fantastic whale watching tour - an unforgettable experience!

Scheduled whale watching tours by Gentle Giants begin on June 1^st.
