Congratulations Iceland & all our customers …!!!

Today is the 17th of June – Iceland’s national day. It all happened on the 17th of June 1944, when Iceland declared full independence from Denmark.

A great celebration will be held in Husavik today, organised by the town authorities, the gymnastic and athletic teams in Husavik. Many things will be taking place today – a street parade, singing, a family-program by the local schools, coffee sales, swimming competition and many more things …

Though it is the Independence Day today, Gentle Giants will carry on their whale watching schedule, with tours departing from Husavik at 09.45 13:15 & 20:15.

Humpbacks have been spotted in all our tours the last days, and in our evening tour yesterday 7 humpbacks were spotted and shown up close to our passengers!
