“HUSAVIK HEATWAVE”
The last days have been absolutely fantastic! Weather conditions and whale sightings have been very good. This is what the crew onboard Faldur had to say about their tours today:
“We headed out to Skjalfandi Bay with enthusiastic whale watchers. Only a few minutes from the harbour we spotted a minke whale and it came close to the boat. Then we headed further out in the bay towards the mountains of Kinn to search for the giant humpbacks – which we indeed found! Faldur was drifting a long time with the engine off and the humpbacks calmly swimming around us! An unforgettable experience. On the way back to Husavik we also spotted some harbour porpoises. Weather was wonderful – some crew members even got sunburned after spending a whole day out on the bay!”
