HUMPBACKS RETURN
The blue whales we had in the bay (see our article from 4th June), unfortunately did not stay here for long. After they left the bay we had a few days of minke whales, dolphins and harbour porpoises – it seemed that the larger whales had moved further out of the bay.
In our last tours however, we have finally spotted humpbacks again – three of them together! It is always nice watching the majestic humpbacks – lifting their fluke out of the water, spy hopping or even breaching!
In recent years the humpback whales have been common visitors in our bay and we hope we will have more encounters of the humpback this summer.
