A PASSION FOR WHALES

For some people one or two whale watching tours are not enough. Some people join many tours with us to see the giants of Skjalfandi Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. Domeratzki from Germany are visiting Iceland for their first time. They are staying in Iceland for two weeks and for the past 10 days they have been staying in Husavik. During their stay here they have joined our whale watching tours many times.

Their first tours were not so successful, only a few minke whales were spotted. However, they hoped for the best and had a lot of patience and finally on the last tours they managed to have great tours with three humpback whales and fantastic weather conditions!

They have been whale watching around the world but both agreed that they had never had such nice encounters with the humpbacks. This is what they had to say about their experience with Gentle Giants: “Crew onboard very friendly and helpful – a very good experience!”

Husavik is not their last whale watching destination – they plan on going further around the world looking for the majestic whales.
