LIVE MUSIC ONBOARD
Something happened today that made the 13:15 and 15:15 tours very special. There was a band playing music onboard Sylvía; Three famous - Hilmar and co.
On Sylvía’s way back, after encounters with dolphins and minke whales, the passengers got a private concert onboard. Everyone got to enjoy the music over a cup of hot chocolate and kleina. Faldur was on its way out, heard about the music played and parked next to Sylvía so everyone got a share of the jolly tones.
Both the captains switched of the engines so the band played undisturbed, only accompanied by the sound of nature on the middle of Skjálfandi bay. International songs were played and the passengers got to sing with.
“It was an amazing atmosphere onboard, everyone was happy and it really was an experience!” said Bessi, captain onboard Sylvía. Binni, guide on Faldur, began to dance in the crow’s nest when the band started playing “Spanish Flea”. He said “I was so happy - it is basically my favourite song!”.
The whole thing became a real success and we want to thank Three famous - Hilmar and co. for playing onboard. Maybe there will be a surprise concert during your tour...?
