GENTLE GIANTS AT VESTNORDEN
Yet another season is nearing to an end and preparations for the next one go into full swing. One important annual event is the Vestnorden Travel Mart, which Gentle Giants attended earlier this week.
Vestnorden is organised in collaboration of three North Atlantic islands; Iceland, Faroe Islands and Greenland. The countries take turns in hosting the workshop, and this year it was Iceland’s turn to hold the 25th Vestnorden. The location was Akureyri, in northeast of Iceland, just one hour drive from Húsavík. During the travel mart, companies (exhibitors) from the three countries introduce various opportunities in tourism to travel agencies (buyers) from all over the world.
Four representatives from Gentle Giants attended the workshop to introduce the company and our services. This year we had two booths, one for the classical whale watching tours and another one for pro-fishing, which is a new adventure to be launched for next year.
The GG team were all very pleased with the travel mart and look forward to see all participants again on Vestnorden 2011 in Faroe Islands.
