SPECIAL TOUR - A FISHING FESTIVAL
Except for scheduled tours, Gentle Giants also does tailor made trips – any idea is a good one. The other evening we had staff from Restaurant Salka onboard Faldur, who wanted to spend an hour trying their luck with the fishing rods.
We went out late in the evening and only ten minutes from Húsavík harbour Captain Bessi stopped the boat and said that he had found what he thought was a good fishing spot. And oh, he was right!
The playful fishing competition began and after a few intense and fun minutes we had several winners; Berglind got the biggest fish (a giant cod), Sylvía caught the ugliest one (a haddock) and Svava managed to pull up the most fish (she got eight only on her hook).
Both Daniel and I had to go around from rod to rod to help people unhook the fish that they had caught. Our bay is full of life and on Gentle Giants' fishing trips we give you a 100% catch guarantee.
