AFTER STORM COMES HUMPBACK
Today the weather is much better than yesterday; The sun is breaking through and the sea is calmer. Faldur went out at 9:45, and half an hour later Daniel spotted what they all had hoped for; A blow in the distance. Right now the lucky people onboard are watching a humpback whale.
Storms rearrange the bay like food is stirred in a cooking pot and it is always exciting to go out whale watching after bad weathers. Rough seas and winds from north sometimes wash krill and plankton into the bay, and that might lead the bigger whales to us as well. Just like today.
“After rain comes sunshine”. Hereby I would like to change the saying into something just as positive: “After storm comes humpback”.

Somewhere here on the Skjálfandi Bay is Faldur, watching a humpback - right now.
