WATCHING WHALES FROM MY WINDOW
The last days have been amazing whale-wise - and so also today. 16:45 Sigrún Björg (guide by GG since 2008) went out on her first tour of the year. In the south of the bay she and Captain Kalli found four humpbacks which were playing around.
It is said that they tend to jump more during bad weathers and today that was exactly what happened. The waves were high and a humpback breached for them several times.
Now in the late evening I am looking out over the bay from my flat and can still see the humpback whale out there which keeps on jumping over and over again. No wonder Húsavík is considered The Whale Watching Capital of Europe.

The humpback keeps on breaching. I watch it from my window.
