A GANG OF GENTLE GIANTS AT 16:45

Humpback whales have been spotted on all our trips today. Daniel, guide onboard Sylvía 16:45, called me and screamed in excitement. First they had found two of those gentle giants swimming together and another one further away. Soon after, they all hooked up and appeared time after time in the front of the boat. That is real whale watching!

The storm which passed yesterday affected the sea also today. We have had both a lot of big waves and big whales in the bay. Luckily our magnificent friends out there do not care about the wind and snow (in June!) and the weather forecast is now showing a big sun over Húsavík for tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will also turn out like the prediction says, and let us cross fingers and fins for all the wonderful whales to have enough of food to stay in our bay.
