WHALE ENTERTAINMENT LIVE, IN SKJÁLFANDI
This is what Guðrún said when I asked her about how the trip at 12:00 was:
“It was windy but worth it! We saw two blue whales side by side and a third one a bit further away. In the same area there were also two humpbacks swimming together, playing right next to the boat when we focused on them; flipper-slapping and lob-tailing.
Everybody onboard forgot about the cold northerly winds when we got this show. I pinched my arm when it happened – can’t believe this is my job!
It was hard to say Good Bye when we ran out of time and had to return to harbour. Luckily I get the chance to go tomorrow again”, Guðrún said and smiled.
