AN EVERLASTING ACROBATIC SHOW
It kept on and we never wanted the show to end; A jumping humpback which made us forget both time and space. I was guiding the Big Whale Safari yesterday evening and what could possibly suit better on that tour than a humpback breaching some 70-80 times - right in front of us?
The photos are taken by Peter who was a guide onboard Sylvía. Together we enjoyed the gentle giant entertaining us for as long as we could stay. When not jumping it was calmly swimming around on its back in circles, showing its belly and splashing with its flippers as if just for fun. I imagined it with a human voice which in this light mood was humming “lalala...” to itself.
It was incredibly nice to experience this all from our RHIB Amma Sigga. Too meet a whale like this on the same level. You feel so close, you are so close! It was probably one of my best tours ever – an adventure to think back at in the future.
