GG CREW EXPERIENCED GRÍMSEY
Grímsey is not far away anymore. Not now when we have our RHIB Amma Sigga which reaches Grímsey in not more than an hour. The GG crew tried this two days ago when celebrating a good season.
The weather was amazing and we were doing 45 knots on a sea flat like ice. Well on Grímsey we crossed the Arctic Circle, got a guided tour to the light house, admired millions of sea birds and the community with its typical fishing harbour.
We ended our pleasant evening with an amazing fish dish at the restaurant Krían. Good company and a great destination was our official celebration of a great high season 2011.

On Grímsey you can study puffins close up. Unfortunately there was no one home in this nest when we visited...
Grímsey's biggest industry is fishing and just like in Húsavík,
there is always something going on in the harbour.
In the island's only restaurant Krían we enjoyed fabulous fish and delicious chocolate cake.
