TOP CONDITIONS IN SKJÁLFANDI BAY
I just called Captain Bessi to get news from the bay. He, onboard Faldur, was just sliding into harbour again after the 8:45 tour. “This has been another top trip; Five relaxed humpbacks, a minke whale and a nice group of dolphins – all in one tour! And remember the blue whale two days ago. Those amazing conditions are becoming daily bread...” Bessi said and laughed.
The last weeks have been great as the whales in our bay have been many and showed themselves from their best sides. I would say that the current whale conditions are unusually good for this time of year.
The sea is calm, puffin tours are still running and the bay is full of gentle giants.
