A TOUR FOR HUMPBACK LOVERS
Our tour today at 9:45 was a dream for any whale watcher! When leaving harbour we reminded our passengers - as always - of that we are dealing with wild nature; "maybe we will be lucky, maybe not..." - even though we see whales on 98% of our tours.
After less than 30 minutes from harbour, we spotted our first humpback. It was feeding and seemed to take no notice of our boat, which drifted around the feeding area. This gentle giant came up close to our boat regularly. We enjoyed its smelly blow on our faces and its beautiful fluke raised for over and over, until we decided to leave and head west. We sailed towards the well-known feeding area by the shore along the majestic Mountains of Kinn.
After a while we spotted one, two and three blows right next to each other. It came to light that a humpback trio was feeding there. Same amazing behaviour by those individuals, and ultimate for us whale watchers. There we stayed as long as we could, until it was time to head back as the clock was ticking.
We really had luck during this tour. Like many other days. On 98% of our trips actually. This time we thank these four humpbacks for our great memories. Tomorrow... Who knows...? It will probably be some whales out there, but how, what, when and where we have no idea.

Below you see some of my photos from today:
An amazing humpback fluke.
The photos we got today were of that kind of which you, after your holidays, print on a canvas and keep forever.
Heading towards the three flukes; the humpback trio diving at the same time.
This powerful group of gentle giants met us on the other side.
