THE ULTIMATE BIG WHALE SAFARI

Watching whales from our RIB Amma Sigga gives you the possibility of seeing the gentle giants from the surface level. We often get closer to the whales on our RIB than on our oak boats, which means you have the chance of getting incredible and incomparable views, memories and photos.

Today at 12:30 Sverrir and I went out on a full Amma Sigga for Big Whale Safari. We started with going to Puffin Island, which is always a pleasure. Thousands of puffins flew around our heads, swam around our boat and sometimes it almost felt like they posed to the cameras.

The sea was as flat as it can be. The sun was shining and it did not take long after we left the Puffin Island until we found loads of whales. Five humpbacks, several minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises crossed our way.

By the fish rock, close to the mountains on the other side of our bay, we found the feeding baleen whales again. They were coming up and down all the time, giving us numerous great views and photo-chances. There we cruised around for a long time.
