PALLURINN - THE PLACE TO EAT AND CHILL
When in Húsavík, would you like to eat at a new-thinking restaurant, serving first class food in a be-yourself atmosphere, with the town's best view over the harbour? Then Pallurinn is the right place for you!
Pallurinn ("The Porch") is located behind the Gentle Giants Ticket Center, and is run by the Icelandic star chef Völli Snær Völundarsson (known from BBC). By the travel guide Lonely Planet's 2013 edition, Völli Snær is mentioned as Iceland's counterpart to Jamie Oliver, and called Iceland's uncrowned star 2012. Pallurinn is also handpicked by picky people at HandPicked Iceland, just like our Big Whale Safari tour.
Except for Völli himself, Pallurinn has a new guest cook every week throughout the summer. Each one of them comes with their own "meal of the week" which includes three courses, in addition to their standard menu.
