BLUE WHALE IS BACK!
A blue whale has entered the bay for the first time for several weeks. They have been rare so far this season, compared to recent years, which is most likely connected to foraging.
Peter, guide on today's 9:45 tour, explained their blue whale experience like this: "First we had encountered lots of humpback whales, probably six of them, before we saw the giant blow and I realised it must be something even bigger! The whole thing got really exciting and we managed to get good views of this huge blue whale - which actually was really big also for being a blue".
Blue whales are the biggest creatures ever to have lived on earth; up to 30 metres long and 190 tons in weight. The passengers who got this amazing chance had no idea beforehand. Nature is unpredictable! How long the blue stays by us, we have no idea...
