ENJOYING GRÍMSEY ISLAND

The only place in Iceland where you can cross the Arctic Circle is on Grímsey; a wee island ca 60 km NW of Húsavík. This place is not far away anymore. At least not in time, thanks to our RIBs which both can reach the thrilling speed of 52 knots.

The other night our crew went there with a record time of only 46 minutes, still not going full speed. What a privilege to have access to these boats!

During perfect weather conditions we spent a very nice evening together strolling around the island, watching the last puffins left of the year and - of course - crossing the Arctic Circle. We ended our stay enjoying a wonderful meal at restaurant Krían before heading home again.

This way we celebrated the great high season of 2013.
