WHALE SCHOOL EXHIBITION OPENING
Today the Húsavík Whale Museum officially opened an exhibition showing the outcome of last winter’s “whale school”. That is an annual project where local children get to learn about the gentle giants of the ocean.
The exhibition consists of art made by children of the local playschool, photos from when second graders from the compulsory school took a tour at sea and a short movie in a cinema room.
Waffles and coffee were served and many people - both locals and tourists - came to see this new exhibition.
The whale museum is open every day between 8:30 and 18:30 throughout the summer. If buying a whale watching tour by us you also get a 20% discount card to the whale museum which is well worth a visit!
