THE AUSTRIANS WHO CAUGHT THEIR OWN MEAL
A nice group of Austrian sailors decided to make a sea angling tour with Gentle Giants as a part of their adventurous ten-day journey around Iceland. The perfect choice in our opinion!
Our captain Ingimar, who is a local fisherman, steered the boat towards well-known fishing grounds in our bay. The sun was shining and guide Belén happened to be the first one to get a fish on the hook, but in the end it was passenger Claus who caught both the most- and the biggest fish.
One of the sea anglers, Peter, is often fly-fishing in his spare time and referred to this adventure as “a completely different but great experience!”.
After returning to harbour they got their freshly caught fish cooked at the local seafood restaurant Naustið. “We are sure it will taste perfect because we caught them ourselves. This is really the catch of the day!” said Peter with a broad smile on his face.
