RIB RESCUE DRILL
When today’s tours were cancelled because the sea was too rough, we saw it as a possibility to practise safety routines.
The other day we held a rescue drill on board one of our oak boats and today it was time to do it on RIB Amma Kibba.
Both RIB captains Sverrir and Hlynur were with us and started the session with going over all safety equipment and what to do in different possible emergency situations.
In the outer harbour we “rescued” each other out of the water as realistically as possible. We practised again what we did just the other day on the oak boats, to have all the safety routines fresh in mind at all times.
