GRÍMSEY ISLAND ADVENTURE - THE PASSENGERS' OWN WORDS
The Nève family joined our GG5 Grímsey Island Adventure tour the other day. Below you can read Alexandre Nève's own words about their experience:
“Our Grimsey adventure started at 05:45, time to get full equipment; hi-visibility thermal suit, life-jacket, gloves, hats, boots and googles.
Ready to go at 06:00. Off we went !!
Even we had a bit of swell, gusts of winds and rain, we were shaked but happy to get at Grimsey Island in about two hours of sailing.
Visit of the Island; crossing of the polar circle, the light house, the church and its famous painting.
Meeting with the puffins and other many birds.
Time for delicious breakfast including puffin’s eggs.
On the way back our Captain managed to show us six whales and a few dolphins, some very close, marvellous in deed !!
Back to Husavik with our eyes filled with the very best souvenirs of uncommon expedition !!
Not recommended for sun seekers on the beach, definitely recommended to discover wonders of Island on the adventure mode.
Special thanks to our crew who made our day wonderful and impressive making the discoveries “crescendo” at no risk at no time as safety is clearly their priority.
