CELEBRATING A GOOD SEASON
After a great and busy summer together at Gentle Giants, our international staff is now splitting up for this year - like always in the end of August. Some go back to university, others to work in their home countries or elsewhere, until next summer when we reunite in Húsavík. It is always with mixed feelings that we meet up a last time to do something fun and celebrate the good season before we spread out in the world.
The other day we went for a wonderful staff trip in the evening. A bus from the local transport company Fjallasýn brought us to Hótel Laxá in Mývatn for a delicious dinner buffet. Our musical guide Þórdís played the guitar and sang for us in the dining hall before we continued to Mývatn nature baths for a midnight dip in the geothermal water. As if that was not enough we also go to watch some beautiful northern lights dancing in the sky above us.
