PERFECT WEATHER, FLATEY ISLAND AND LOADS OF WHALES
Yesterday, the cruise ship from „Iceland Pro Cruise“ approached Skjálfandibay early in the morning for another time. Already then the sun shined bright above Húsavík. At 7am we left the village to sail out to Flatey. The weather could not have been better. Warm temperatures, blue sky, calm sea and the beauty of the island matched perfectly together. Above that, the breeding season of the birds is in full swing. All kind of birds were singing on the island, flying above our heads or sitting in the fields and along the cliffs and harbour area.
Along that, our big stars are still staying in the bay: Besides many humpback whales also the blue whales are still hanging out in Skjálfandi. Additionally, our loved and gentle hybrid whales has been seen all day.
Then, as well as the other day, also today another tour was heading for Flatey to see the island's beauty.
