MORE SCHEDULED DAILY DEPARTURES FROM 1ST OF JULY
The past month the whale watching went extremely successful. Blue whales came in huge numbers and were seen almost daily. A highlight was the blue whale mother with her calf, which is in fact still in the bay. Also our old friend the hybrid has been showing up recently. After it already visited us a month ago, it came back the other day and has been seen since. Along that, several humpbacks are feeding in the bay and can be seen in all areas of Skjálfandi.
In July the whale watching season usually reaches its peak. Therefore, we are adding several additional departures. From tomorrow, 1st of July, we will have 13 scheduled departures daily:
GG1 Whale Watching at 8:45, 9:45, 12:00, 13:15, 15:15, 16:45 and 20:00
GG2 Big Whale Safari & Puffins at 9:30, 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, 16:00 and 19:00
