MANY-SIDED WHALE WATCHING
After some stormy northerly winds didn’t allow us to sail yesterday, the sea calmed down over night. Hence, we could again depart as usual this morning.
The day before yesterday, the blue-fin hybrid visited our bay another time. It already visited us twice this season, staying each time for several days. This time, it swam in an area close to the mountains. Nearby, two humpbacks were feeding. Among them, a huge group of dolphins was showing off, playing with the whales or just entertaining our visitors aboard.
Storms churn up the sea and therefore, new food enters the bay whenever it was a day as yesterday. Whales come here to the north for feeding. Hence, it is always exciting to find out what whales await us out in the bay the day after.
Getting curious? Join us on one of our daily departures to see the gentle giants in the bay!
