A SUCCESSFUL MONTH COMES TO AN END

July continued as successful as the months before: In the beginning of the month we still got to see the blue whales. Some of them stayed throughout the first week of July. Also the hybrid showed up a couple of times, last time just about 10 days ago.

Lately we saw many humpback whales spread all over the bay. Also minkes have been showing up a lot – especially along the Cheek Mountains on the other side of the bay.

Dolphins have been showing up in big numbers throughout the month. Many of them just gave birth recently and we got to see the newborn ones these days – some of them are just a few days old!

We are ready to start a new month and are excited about what is going to await us out at sea! As we are still in high season we run as many daily departures as in July. Check the timetable here.

If weather allows one can see amazing sunsets as on the photo when joining one of our eveing departures these days. We run the 7pm "GG2 Big Whale Safari and Puffins" throughout August, whereas the 8pm "GG1 Whale Watching" tour on the oak boats will go for the last time on the 20st of August.
