ACCOMPANIED BY A MINKE
The first boats this morning had found a humpback whale short after they left. Being on the second oak boat to leave the harbour, we decided to catch up with them to get a look at this whale, too. But short before we reached the area a minke showed up out of the sudden. Other then most minkes, which behave rather shy, this one was very curious and approached the boat. Whilst we were slowly heading forward it followed us all the way, surfacing frequently to either side of the boat, getting pretty close again and again. The whale accompanied us for almost half an hour when it suddenly turned back. Hence, we decided to finally also look at the humpback.
More minkes and humpbacks have been seen throughout the day in very different areas of the bay.
