CHANGING WEATHER
Due to bad weather conditions we unfortunately had to cancel all our departures today. Seeing the weather forecast for tomorrow the conditions seem to change and constantly get better throughout the day. Therefore we are optimistic about being able to sail again tomorrow.
After stormy days as today boats often fill up quickly the next day. Therefore we recommend to make a reservation ahead (by phone, email or through our website) to ensure you’ll get a ticket for the trip you’d like to go on.
Stormy weather as this often bring new nutrients and food into the bay. As for many whales Skjálfandibay is a feeding area we are confident of that there might be several new whales entering the bay tomorrow.
Recently we have been very lucky in spotting humpback whales in several parts of the bays. Along that, Minkes could be seen in an area close to the mountains.
