WHALES WELCOMING GROUP OF 103
This afternoon we welcomed a group of 103 aboard our oak boats Faldur and Sylvía. Our passengers did not only get to see three different humpback whales from up close, but two of them were even swimming together. They were travelling through the bay side by side. As we already thought we had seen them extremely well, the unexpected happened. Just in the moment that the captain had decided to start heading back home one of the two jumped out of the water - right next to us! One couldn't get to see it better.... it breached a few more times unitl it was again accompanied by the other. Whilst they started to head on we decided to finally leave for the harbor of Húsavík! 103 passengers and 5 crew members had a big smile on their face after three hours of whale watching.
