SAFETY TRAINING AT GENTLE GIANTS
Early this morning our crew met up for a rescue drill on-board our oak boat Sylvía. Whilst the town was still asleep all of us headed out to the outer harbour to train rescue procedures as “Man over board”. Besides that, we went over the safety equipment as well as the emergency plan which gives instructions for any given emergency. To practice safety is just as important for the new staff as for the ones who have worked at sea and for the company for many years. Therefore, the training is repeated frequently.
