FRESH CATCH OF THE DAY: COD, HADDOCK AND MACKEREL
Despite being a fishing nation there are very few places where you can get fresh fish in Iceland.
Most of it goes directly to the fishing factories and after being processed it is exported where its world famous quality is very appreciated.
Gentle Giants is the only company in Húsavík that runs regular Sea Angling trips and offers you the opportunity to get your own catch.
Today our five Portuguese and American passengers got the best out of Skjálfandi Bay. Under the skipper’s expert hands they´ve got plenty of big cods, haddocks and even a mackerel.
They couldn´t be happier and here is the result after an enjoyable day out at sea on our boat Athena.
