SEPTEMBER STARTING GREAT
September has started marvelous. Humpback whales were sighted throughout these days. Two individuals were seen swimming side by side daily. One of them turned out to be Snow White, a whale well known in this bay since years. The humpback whale returns to its feeding ground in Skjálfandi Bay every summer. Besides being a very nice whale around the boats, it is apparently also extremely social as it can be seen interacting with other individuals frequently. Besides the whales, also the weather has been wonderful: sunshine, clear skies and a calm sea made the whale watching trips even more memorable.
