FIRST HUMPBACK WHALE SIGHTED
After also yesterday‘s tours continued just as great with orcas and fin whales seen in the bay, this morning boats have sighted a humpback whale shortly after leaving the harbor.
Humpback whales are the most common whale here in Skjálfandi Bay during the summer time. They come here for feeding and hence many of them stay for a longer period of time.
Today‘s humpback is the first one seen on our whale watching trips this season, but most likely more individuals will start to arrive these days!
