AN EARLY MORNING ADVENTURE
We left Husavik's harbor early this morning at 8AM for the first scheduled "GG2 Big Whale Safari and Puffins". For long we were the only boat out there and we decided to cross over to the mountains on the other side of the bay. As we were travelling and enjoying the beautiful scenery, a humpback whale suddenly leaped high out of the water as if it was welcoming us in its kingdom. We watched the animal for a while as it peacefully and calmly continued its way.
The tour however continued as great as it started with another whale performing its morning exercises short after. The humpback breached and lobtailed in the swell over and over again as if it was fighting the sea.
Also on following departures we were lucky to witness several other individuals performing their acrobatic shows.
