SUPERB WHALE WATCHING CONTINUES
For several days we were unfortunaly unable to sail due to a strong storm passing by the country. Finally today, the weather and sea conditions were all on our side again (apart from the cold perhaps): We couldn't wait to get back on the boat and sail out into Skjálfandi Bay. Even better, neither did the whales let us search for long: to our all surprise they werejust two nautical miles away from the harbor and we were with them about twenty minutes after having boarded our guests and left the pier. A total of five humpback whales appeared around our oak boat "Sylvía". Four of the animals even ended up travelling as a group short after we arrived at the scene.
After such a long break of waiting and hoping for better weather to come, our return to Skjálfandi Bay couldn't have been any better!
