QUEEN SYLVÍA GETS FINAL BEAUTY TREATMENT

Two weeks only. The countdown continues. Our whale watching tours will start earlier than ever before this year – on 15th March – and we are getting the final things together to make this the best season ever.
Yesterday our majestic oak boat Sylvía went up on dry land for a final beauty treatment on the local shipyard in Húsavík.
Our poetic Captain Pétur who will start the season says: "She is always just as stunning, my Queen Sylvía. Soon we will once again be dancing together in Skjálfandi Bay, accompanied by the tones of humpbacks". This is a man who really loves his job!
And the gentle giants are indeed out there already. Whale blows have been seen from our spring-like fishing village during the last days which makes us even more excited about once again leaving harbour and starting our 17th season.
