CONTRIBUTING TO THE FUTURE OF ICELANDIC TOURISM

This morning we proudly invited a group of future Icelandic guides whale watching with us, for the fifth year in a row. They study at The Icelandic School of Travel and Tourism (Ferðamálaskóli Íslands) and are now doing a tour together around the island to get to know the key tourism places better. To experience the highlights on their own – including our whale watching in Húsavík – is a perfect preparation for their future profession as guides in Iceland.

Some of the students went on a RIB speedboat and others joined an oak boat. They were all very lucky with whale sightings and returned to harbour with broad smiles on their faces. One man said:

– It is not a question about if I will bring my groups to you, the question is how soon I can be back.

We wish them all the best for the future and are looking forward to seeing them again!
