SPRING IS IN THE AIR – SEASON START POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19
Spring atmosphere is in the air here in Húsavík. The days are getting longer and the weather lately has been great with sunshine, clear skies and the snow is melting.
Officially our season should have started on 1st March. However, due to COVID-19 and ongoing travel restrictions, we have decided to postpone the season start for a few weeks. Therefore, all scheduled tours are cancelled until 1st May although the RIB speedboats may be ready in April for private tours upon request. This will be announced further when it gets closer to it. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.
The good news are that the whales have arrived to Skjálfandi Bay. Other boats in the area have reported sightings of humpback whales and even fin whales, the second largest whales. This is very positive and hopefully a great sign of the season ahead.
We are optimistic for the season and hope to welcome you aboard with us soon!
