ONE MONTH TO SEASON START

In one month our season starts again, April 1st, with daily departures until November 30th. We are very excited to start our 22nd year in offering whale watching and other exciting adventures from Húsavík.

There is a lot of interest and high demand for holidays to Iceland which is great. With increasing direct international flights to north Iceland, new gateways and possibilities are opening up. We have put together some tips to make your Húsavík visit as smooth as possible.

Book in advance
Booking in advance is recommended on our website. You can choose if you pay online or pay upon arrival. We are flexible and offer free cancellation up until 24 hours before departure. You can also always change your booking on our customer platform, which has proven to be very successful and appreciated by our guests. Keep in mind, that although Icelandic summers are unique, the whale watching season is from April to November, so visiting in spring and autumn can also be a wonderful experience and for the whales, there is no best time. A good tip is to allow a few days in the Húsavík area, in case of unpredictable weather conditions.

Selection of tours
Our bestseller whale watching tours offered from the Whale Capital of Iceland are the GG1 Whale Watching – on traditional Icelandic oak boats, and GG2 Big Whale Safari & Puffins – on modern RIB speedboats. Both offer an excellent opportunity to experience the wildlife of Skjálfandi Bay. Other tours that are offered upon request are sea angling, horse combo and visits to Flatey Island, the paradise of Skjálfandi Bay.
