OF MOUNTAINS AND WHALES

humpback fluking on bright day

Time flies by and the first half of October is already over. Whalewise we've had a great month so far and these incredible gentle giants clearly made up for the unfavourable weather we encountered on some of the days:

Several humpback whale individuals have been spotted throughout these days. Both yesterday and today, we spotted some of them near the mountains on the western side of the bay. Finding whales by the beautiful Cheek Mountains is always great as one gets to admire the stunning scenery by the mountains while waiting for the whales to re-surface after a dive. Covered by a thin layer of fresh snow, these mountains then make for a gorgeous background of any whale photo or video.

Have you joined us these days? Why not share your experience with us?
