END OF SEASON 2024

humpback whale surfacing close

As the last day of November has arrived, another memorable and successful whale watching season is coming to an end here in Húsavík.

Giant thanks to all of our passengers and co-operators for having joined us in 2024 as well as to our crew on land and on the boats for all their passion for their jobs and for coming from near and far to make our tours possible and unique.

It is sure to say that 2024 was successful and unforgettable and all of us made lifetime memories out on the bay as well as on land, which will continue to make us smile while now on land glancing at the ocean throughout the next months.

We are happily looking back on many months full of action and unforgettable whale encounters – all the way from dolphins to minke and humpback whales to the very largest, the blue whales.
Along that, our season was filled with surprises and special visitors such as fin whales, orcas, sperm whales, our beloved blue-fin hybrid and more.

When it comes to the humpbacks, our main species throughout the season, not only many new individuals, but also numerous known ones showed up – always to the delight of our crew and therewith the guests onboard of course.

Already now we are very excited about the season 2025 to come and hope to welcome you aboard in the future.

Both our "GG1 Whale Watching" on the oak boats as well as the "GG2 Big Whale Safari and Puffins" on our RIB speedboats are scheduled to start over on April 1st 2025.

Are you planning to visit Iceland next year and already full swing in your travel planning?
Our online bookings for 2025 are open and you can find more information on our tours and timetable for 2025 on our website as well as already book and secure your whale watching adventure now!

We can't wait to see you all in Húsavík next spring and hope to be able to show you the beauty and pristine nature of Skjálfandi Bay and its oceanic inhabitants.
