A BUSY, SUMMERY WEEKEND
The past few days have brought Húsavík beautiful summer-like weather, amazing whales, and again our friends on the Ocean Diamond cruiseship. All 5 of our RIBs took an incredible early-morning tour with Ocean Diamond passengers, as well as a film crew filming for British television.
It could not have been a better day to welcome all the guests. In the early sunshine, we enjoyed seeing white-beaked dolphins and then at least 5 humpback whales! Three of the humpback whales were swimming together in synchrony slowly and calmly along-side the boats, with their long white flippers shining under the water, and then their beautiful, unique flukes lifting into the air as they gracefully dived.
With the Icelandic summertime quickly changing to fall, this was one of those perfect days for the end of summer, leaving both passengers and crew alike feeling great.
