We sail in Skjálfandi Bay, Husávik as it is regularly known as the Whale capital of Europe! Exactly because of the high probability to see whales. Humpback whales migrate to this area mainly to feed in the cold waters, as they are the main species that we observe, but other visitors may also come like white beaked dolphins, minke whales and blue whales!
Different marine birds are also regularly seen in the bay, as the summer time is the breeding season for many of these animals. Atlantic puffins, arctic fulmars and arctic terns are one of the several species that we can spot.
Wildlife of Skjálfandi Bay is unique and you may experience it in different ways!
