CELEBRATING THE 30TH ICELANDAIR MID-ATLANTIC TRADESHOW
Gentle Giants proudly participated in the Icelandair Mid-Atlantic Tradeshow held this week for the 30th time in Reykjavík. This renowned event continues to serve as the perfect platform for travel industry professionals from across the globe to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas – right in the middle between Europe and North America. This year over 700 participants gathered from 22 countries.
The event started on Thursday with an opening ceremony at Icelandair's impressive new headquarters, featuring good food, networking and speeches.
Friday was the main tradeshow day at Laugardalshöll Sportshall and Gentle Giants had a large and eye-catching booth. Our team, Stefán, Jóhanna, Daniel and María welcomed more than 60 meetings with long-time partners and many new industry connections.
It is great to see the high interest in Iceland as a destination and especially North Iceland with increasing dire
ct international flights to the region. We proudly presented our company and especially our new possibilities for tailor-made adventures in Flatey Island, featuring our environmentally friendly house on the island. Our modern eco-friendly fleet and the deep local roots of the company attracted significant interest.
The day ended with a gala evening filled with delicious cuisine, fun entertainment, live music and dancing in great company – an unforgettable way to wrap up a successful tradeshow.
A giant thanks to everyone who visited our booth, as well as to the dedicated Icelandair organizing team for hosting such a fantastic and memorable event. We are already looking forward to the next one in 2027!
