THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

November is flashing past us and in only a week our whale watching season 2022 is already over. November has overall been great with humpback whale sightings on most tours in great weather. Now it isn't long anymore until also the whales will say goodbye to this wonderful place and their feeding grounds.

WHALES DONT CARE ABOUT NOVEMBER MOOD

November has shown its moody side these days and unfortunately, the weather conditions forced us to cancel our departure both yesterday and today. The forecast however predicts a lot better weather and sea conditions for tomorrow, Saturday the 12th of November and we expect to sail again as scheduled from Húsavík harbour.

TIME FLIES - BUT THE WHALES ARE STAYING!

It’s already a week ago since November started – time flies! So far our tours this month have been great: several humpback whales were spotted on all our departures – oftentimes near to the boats, sometimes even swimming in pairs.

SUNNY DAYS AHEAD AND A BAY FULL OF WHALES

Our week has started amazing: after a stormy weekend, the sun greeted us Monday morning, colouring the mountains first pink, then golden. As we left the harbor, several humpback whales appeared just a short sailing distance away from Húsavík and of course: made our day! Also for the upcoming days the weather forecast looks great and even the sun seems to stay with us for a bit more.

GIULIA & FRANZ: AN ARCTIC REMOTE CELEBRATION

As it is fairly known, when in Iceland one can easily find all diferent seasons in a single day, without travelling that much and expecting it even less. For outdoor celebrations, if the rays of the sun are bright and powerful and not that shy, it automatically raises up the energy and the mood for whatever upcoming event we might face.
