SUCCESSFUL SEA ANGLING IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITIONS

Even though our season has officially ended for scheduled tours this year, we are still always ready to try to accommodate any private requests. This morning our captain Sverrir took a small group of Mexicans out for a private sea angling tour on board Aþena.

PERFECT AUTUMN WHALE WATCHING

As September continues, nature is constantly changing. In their autumn dress, plants and flowers appear in red, orange and yellow whilst the green summer colours slowly faint away. As the sun rises and travels over the bay, the mountains and coastline therefore shine in many different colours.

A BAY FULL OF SURPRISES

BLUE WHALE IN SKJÁLFANDI BAY

A blue whale was spotted on our tours in the afternoon. This is great news and unique to see the largest mammal on earth at this time of year. Blue whales can reach up to 33 metres and 190 tons. Hopefully the blue whale will stay around for some time.
